Nice pic, but unfortunatly jupiter station didnt exist then (the stations "saucers" were actually ambasador saucer sections). Still, 8/10

8/10...@1, they weren't ambassador saucers. They more closely resembled galaxy saucers, but the windows were much larger. It was a completely new CGI model so no kitbashing was done.

he is not refering to the look of the model. a description is avaliable in the readme for the Jupiter Station on BC Files. it was a resault of a canceled Ship construction Project. The federation decided to build more Galaxy classes but they already had several Ambassador saucer sections and since they needed a new outpost near jupiter they decided to use the saucers to build it.

@5, the readme for the jupiter station model was not exactly accurate...If you watch the ep of voyager where jupiter station is actually seen, the disc-shaped bits look nothing like Ambassador saucer sections. I think the description in the readme was probably just made up to give it a backstory.

@1, if you watch the enterprise ep 'Silent Enemy', jupiter station was mentioned in that, so it was around in the tos era...it was around long before that.

Theory - Jupiter station wasn't always comprised of ambassador saucer sections. Maybe it was around in a different form, they just needed to update it or replace some of the station? Think Bout It

I didnt really intend this picture to fit into any kind of time line. It was a accident that I caught this picture actually but I liked the angles and decided to upload it.

Thanks again for the comments guys.

I dont care about when the station was built or what it looks like, lets face it no one knows for sure. This is about the Potd, and its good, nice station, jupiter, angle, lighting, model, although I think its impulse engines look alittle dead for my taste but still its a great pic big grin 10/10

There isnt a texture for the impulse engines on this version of the Enterprise. I dont think there is a version of KKirks Enterprise on this site with impulse engine textures.

Please stop complaining about them.

@12, I for one am glad you submitter this, for no other reason than that I have never seen this station. I'm in a TOS QBR writing mode right now and this will fit in perfectly. 10/10 for originality, detail and lighting. And BTW it makes an great wallpaper for my desktop.

#16 I don't think he was complaining about anything; probably making reference to the movie (I forget which) where Kirk uses full impulse out of the station...( i think)

Very nice picture, especially for a quick shot. I love the angles, everything works really nice smile

9/10

They weren't Ambassador saucer sections - but another class that we have not seen on screen, but have been mantioned in TNG - who knows which one - take your pick.

Jupiter looks nice. Connie looks nice. Station.. sorry, but I am not a fan... it's shape, placement and colour hurts this picture tremendously.

+1 Good concept.
-4 station
+1 Jupiter
+1 Connie

4/10
