I was going to say something like "Picard would never say that---" but then I realized he said "you heard the lady, let's get to work!" in Nemesis.... *facepalm*

This is a really nice pic, but I really have to feel it for the crews on those Excelsiors and the Miranda.... like, hey, it's your funeral/assimilation.... Resistance is Futile!

I hate Vivace class.. But still, a great POTD, 10/10 from me.. I just dislike the name...

It could've been :

1)Once more unto the breach

2) Familiar Situation

3) Drawing a line

I like the 3. one the most.. It would be like Picard's talk in FC.. "THE LINE MUST BE DRAWN HERE! THIS FAR NO FARTHER!"

that might just be psycho's personal preference in terms of phasers.
one thing i gotta wonder is by the time of the excalibur and the voyager-a, would excelsior and miranda classes still be in combat service?

Has Your Touch all over it...

10/10 just for the graphics alone....I' lvoe your machine...man....both video and processor man....

However I've got the same gripe...positioning....
as Bren told me...PtoD is a craft...

You need more attention to angles pleasing to the Eye for Dramatic display....And I'm not feeling the caption but at least it's funny but I think that's why it's running a 8. something...

It's incredible but It could be so much more...

Well, the Excelsior and Miranda proved ''useful'' in the Dominion War.. such as being the shield of larger, newer capital ships... I guess the same thing could apply for decades of battles to come..

Voyager, I know it's his choice of the title, I'm just stating my opinion which clearly states that I think it would have been better if the POTD were to carry another name..

I am still wondering, why did they use Miranda class ships in the Dominion War? It's like cannon fodder, they can't damage anyone, they get shot down in like seconds......, I wouldn't want to be stationed on one of those ships.

Seems like the right choice for the dominion, but for the federation to use them..... at least they could do some kamikaze-attacks like the bug ships did big grin

I've never really liked that blue tinted lighting...

Well, this kind of thing has been done before, but this version was done rather well. Lots of weapons fire, gives a real sense of combat. Canon angles too, always good. I love the lighting on the Miranda though, good capture there.

Overall, 8.5 / 10

not a big fan of the caption...actually from the angle of the ships..it almost looks like Chakotay and the Voyager A are joining the battle after it had already begun. If that's the case, we'll say the Excalibur is the Flagship...then maybe a caption like Voyager to Excalibur, could you use a hand.

also could have used the borg firing back. no way the borg would just allow themselves to take a pounding from that many starships without firing a shot. still a great shot though with great composition. 9.10 just cause without the enterprise, the caption kinda makes no sense.

Also, just noticed this, but the positioning isn't exactly what you'd expect 100 000 + metric ton ships to be in. That Galaxy and Nebula look like they are going to collide. Along with the Miranda slamming into the Excal's star nacelle. Presuming, of course, that all ships are going to their forward at the moment.

And while I never cared to download that Voyager, I'd give this a 8 out of 10. Mostly just for graphics. But, if I'm not mistaken, that's not CR's cube, which is better quality.

A great picture, extremely well done angles, and beautiful models but;

As many have alluded to, it seems a bit strange that there would be so many TMP ships in this battle, and i think having 3 excelsiors is a bit excessive for a fleet that has such futuristic ships as the Excalibur and the Voyager-A. I would think at that point, even that Defiant would be showing it's age a little... Especially when facing and adversary such as the Borg.

I think i gave it a 8/10, but i forgot becuase i was reading everyone elses posts! (sorry)

Whenever the Borg invade Fed. space, starfleet is forced to divert as many of it's closest ships to intercept the cube, no matter how old/new they may be. I'm sure that's why there are always a few ol' Mirandas and Excelsiors around.

That said, I LOVE the angle on the Galaxy and Miranda (but not so much the Akira dinking around in the back), and as usual, the quality is impeccable.

Great work, I can only imagine how warm your video card must have been getting when you were making this!
