hats off to your comp for being able to push that much... Mine would have died from the 150 shuttles, then rolled over and died again from this one... 10/10

The ONLY nit pick i have is that some of the other ships could be a little closer, other than that, great 9/10!

@ #4, I couldn't really get closer, because the a few seconds after the game starts, all of the ships swarm away, and that doesn't make a very good pic. wink

@#6 The idea was loosly based off that episode. Note that there are no Klingon ships in there, and there's no BoP with the Defiant. But it still looks a lot like it.

Also, just in case some of you are wondering... thoses are SNS Galaxie's and Akira's in there. big grin

And finaly, I didn't copy/paste this thing, it's in game, 100%, no modifications, except for a little transfer int .jpeg format. wink

RockTwo Thumbs Up!

10/10!! Best PotD I've ever seen. I once attempted to put half as many ships as what you have and BC crashed! What's your computer specs?

Wow, two great PotDs in a row!!

It’s nice to see the fleet at attention, and nicely balanced era wise. Once you look past those countless ships, there is a boring background, but apart from that a very good picture created from a very expensive computer, I assume. 9/10

WTF?! Countless ships, my PC would surely crash with so many ships. How much FPS did you have? 0,03? smile 10/10

Yes, it was very expensive... but, this is the life I chose, it ain't a cheap one!

Anyways, I've got 512 MB of RAM, a P4 3 GHz and most importantly... an ATI Radeon x700 Pro 256 MB. I uploaded this a while back, but I'm pretty sure that my Anti-Alising was set at 6x, and my Anisotropic Filtering was at 16x. But even with all that, I'm pretty sure it was lagging like hell. wink

Ok, seeing as that final scene from A Call to Arms is my favorite scene ever, I reserve the right to nitpick stick out tongue

There are some areas where the ships are pretty dense, and others in which there are very few ships. Also, the fleet's supposed to be on the on upper left of the screen (but I won't take off for that). I'd have also liked it if the Defiant was closer, so the ships in the fleet were bigger.

All in all, I don't see why everyone likes this pic that much. Sure, it's got a whole lot of ships in it, but that doesn't warrant a 10. I'm going to have to go with a 7/10. Again, this is nothing special aside from the fact that it's got a lot of ships.

Hey, I said it was loosley based off it, I wasn't trying to re-create it. But your comments are welcome. wink

Oh, and btw, I also consider that scene one of my favorites... man it's cool to see a massive fleet like that!Rock

Many computers could handle this if there wasn't a battle going on, but once you get all those glows flying around the screen, then your frame-rate goes to hell.

Nice screenshot though, 9/10.

Are you TRYING to make us humble, less powerful computer user's jealous? A computer powerful enough to create that many ships is surely powerful enough to take over the world?!!?!

I think I'll be on the safe side and say it's a REALLY good pic! big grin

But seriously though, I like it! I will certainly give this PotD a 10/10!!

My computer just shuddered and its motherboard failed. I had to do CPR to make this comment.

AND ALL I WAS DOING WAS LOOKING AT THE SCREENSHOT!

I am so terribly jealous, but you still get a 10/10. Or maybe a 1/10. Just to spite you.

It's simple to do and we've all seen it before. I can do it. Remember that these ships are not moving with the Targetgroup Override turned on. It's a surprisingly easy pic to get. However, props for the number of ships. I count somewhere around 110 ships excluding the defiant, and who knows how many more are hidden behind the defiant!?

7/10

i have to agree with the above poster, my vomputer can handle 100+ ships no problem, and ordering the fleet to stop would keep them from moving around big grin

7/10 for a good effort
