A. Taking down the scimitar using an already damaged Soverign (imagine a scenario 10x worse than Nemesis)
B. Taking down DS9 with just 2 defiants and Voyager
C. Taking down a borg cube with JUST 2 Rhode-Islands and 1 Akira
Thats an easy win, just use in-system warp to get them to follow you, zig-zag path and silent running to force them to over-shoot, and if patient, they'll seperate, drop all power except sensors to 0.
Wait a while and attack one of them, retreat, repair, re-attack.
Sorry for long-post but im bored... |

But Stil bad and ugly crew! With the EF2 crew this shot would've been gold!
So its only a 7/10
Cheers! |

Konrad9 Joined: September 25th, 2002 Posts: 294 | @2: Yeah I'd do that except after KM.9 I've never got the warp drive to use if anything is remotely near being in my path. Yay for giving AI control of something it shouldn't..
As for the picture, I like the placement of the ships and the shot from the bridge.
Have to deduct for using old, ugly character models.

I've tried the EF2 crew and, honestly, i don't really like them. I just can't get over their freakishly gargantuan hands of the inhuman way their limbs move about. Plus, they sometimes get stuck in the ceiling or the floor.
Anyway, I love bridge shots and i love the intrepid even more, so this gets a 10 from me. The scenario is pretty grim, too, so big plus for me. |

skills2k6 Joined: October 14th, 2005 Posts: 62 | its not lame. its a matter of opinion, in most ppls opinions of this potd and in general the EF2 crew mod looks 10x better than the original 2002 looking blocky crew models.
It is not exactly hard to install the ef2 crew mod and it has its own mutator button.
Your negative comments about the models is lame |

I just hate it when people think they have the right to tell others what they are allowed to take into consideration when judging a potd. What's worse is that I get cought up in it and almost do it too. |
Barihawk Joined: January 15th, 2007 Posts: 200 | He has the right to use whatever crew mod he would like to. Not everyone prefers the EF2 models. I mean, let's knock off points because he is not using the Reflective Intrepid Bridge.
The screenshot is great. It's beyond great. A lot of effort went into camera placement and alligning all the ships to make it look good, and you guys are complaining because he isn't using the same characters as you are.
I should also mention that he is using Crazyhid's Crew Mod, which is a very nice pack of models. Those are not stock. |
Konrad9 Joined: September 25th, 2002 Posts: 294 | The reason I'm bashing it because of the old models is because they are just that, old and blocky and low resolution and ugly.
We are judging the picture by the way it looks.
I think those models are ugly.
If there was an ugly ship, I would lower the rating just as much. |
skills2k6 Joined: October 14th, 2005 Posts: 62 | i gave it 8/10 based on my opinion and i agree with konrad9.
i didnt give it 1 or 2 to be petty or a loser. i didnt give it a 10 because i think the use of blocky stock models lowered how the pic looked.
in my previous potd ppl gave it 9/10 because teh starbase was 2 close and i took it on board.... |
JoshBlade From: (Davenport, FL) Joined: December 29th, 2006 Posts: 37 | Did everyone totally overlook the rest of my comment? I'm noy saying the people here are lame! I'm saying giving this pic a low score cuz it isn't using the newer freaky looking crew is lame! Christ! |
