Posts: 28 		I for one really enjoyed DS9. It was trek in a whole different light but still retained hope for the future even when things got bad during the dominion war. The thing that I disliked the most and still to this day dislike, is when Jadzia was killed off the show. Dax's character and personality should have been more pronounced in Ezre's character more than it was. She didn't possess the knowledge and confidence that the Dax symbiont should have given her. But that just my opinion...and I know I am biased due to the fact that Jadzia was my favorite.

Posts: 30 		my guess is that one of the reasons that Ezra wasnt as confindent as Jadzia .. is that she was never really meant to have the symbiont ... only reason she got it is she was the only trill on board the ship that was transferring it .. so she kinda got ropped into it .. i am sure that the symbiont commitee (sp?) probly screens new hosts to match the symbionts personality smile i liked jadzia too .. i dont like how they killed her off ... killed by a pah wraith ... gag ... but all in all the series was good .. it had its dull moments ... just like every series has the occasional boring episode .. but for the most part it was pretty good ... the domminion wars were brilliant though .. and when they brought in worf ... all hail worf !!!!!

Posts: 9 		i liked ds9 best BECAUSEit was not as star-trek-like as for example tng. it was much darker (especially the sets of ds9 itself, compared to the enterprise seen in tng) and it introduced something totally new into star trek - complex characters.

Posts: 116 		It is a very good instalment of trek, but I for one did not think so because of the war, but the fact that it showed the nitty gritty of federation on the fringes - Enterprise D was the poster boy of the federation doing the glamorous jobs whilst DS9 is an example of those who had to deal with the major problems. If you get me. lol

Posts: 28 		I also have to add that the sets for DS9 were so colorful and full of life compared to other trek series. If you ever take the time, just notice how detailed and how much color was added to thier sets. And I also agree with starfury_01 on how complex characters were... not just the main characters either. Guest characters also were extremely complex , complex enough to be used for multiple episodes.
