Q. Can I submit a file that isn't mine for BCfiles?
A. No. Typically, the submissions ned up belonging to people who don't want their stuff on BCfiles. If the author says ok, He should be the one to contact us and request it be posted.

Q. How do I submit a picture of the day, a link, or a file to BCFiles?
A. They can all be sent to the same place. Files@bcfiles.com

Q. Can I use the staff's personal e-mail for sending mods?
A. As a rule, no. Some of us don't have a lot of space in our in boxes, and don't want them plugged with files. You should always ask before sending files to a staffs personal e-mail.

General Questions

Q. Will there be a Bridge Commander 2?
A. No sorry.

Q. Will there be another official patch?
A. No sorry.

Q. Can you visit other parts of the ship?
A. No, this is not possible in bridge commander

Q. Is it possible to use a Joystick in BC?
A. At this time, no. Unless you have a programmable joystick which over rides in game key bindings.

Files Questions

Q. I can't find "File Name" file, please tell me where it is?
A. No, we provide a search function on the site, please learn to use it. The categories on BCFiles have recently received a lot of work. While the sorting is not complete, it should be vastly, vastly improved and files placed in categories logically.

Q. How do I extract a RAR / ACE achieve?
A. Win zip can't extract such achieves you need another program such as WINRAR or WINACE.

Modding Questions

Q. Can someone mod multi-vector assault or saucer separation/ re-combination?
A. This mod is being worked on by several people, be patient until its released.

Q. Can P81 make....
A. No. He quit, stop asking.
A2. If you know of a model that has been made by p81 that is not in BC format, suggest it to someone who mods. Though, be aware many already have what the want to do, and may not want any additional work at this time.

Q. Can I send my mod to BCFiles to get help with modding it?
A. No, we are not a fix it shop. We don't fix mods or help people mod because we have a site to run and our own mods and mod teams to work with. Sometimes we do attempt to fix bugs in a file, but we wont spend a lot of time on it. If it's defective, it will simply be deleted and not added to the site.

Q. Can you mod the Demo?
A. Yes. See the Demo modding category on BCFiles for avail mods. (there's not much avail)

Q. Can you have animated models in Bridge Commander?
A. No it is not supported by Bridge Commanders Graphics engine.
