Note that reviews may contain spoilers in writing or images.

>>The Game is a 3d space combat simulator, with two combate modes:
>Bridge mode allows you to act like a captain, or other bridge officer and either issue commands or work the consoles for yourself.
>Flight mode provides an exterior view of the battle where you fly the ship and adjust weapons targeting manually.

Timeline:
The Game is set in the TNG era. You will be commanding either a Galaxy or Sovereign class vessel during the missions. Additionally, other era typical Federation vessels are there, such as the Akira, Nebula weapon pod variant, Ambassador, Type 6 shuttlecraft, and Bell and Regula-1 type space stations.

Other Races:
Other TNG races are also featured. The Galor, Keldon, and Nor class space station (think DS9) as well as the Klingon Brel class BOP and Vorcha, and the Romulan Warbird. A Ferengi Marauder is also present. A new, never before seen race is also featured, called the Kessok. This race is not from Canon Startrek lore. They have 2 ship classes.

Missions:
As you would expect from a federation-based storyline, missions of diplomacy, rescue, science, combat/defense and recon are required. There is even a shakedown battle with another federation captain.

From this point on, users who have never played the single player missions to their end should expect spoilers. If you like suspense, do not read any farther. This data is taken from the "Features", "Storyline", and "FAQ" pages. Some of it has been summarized.

The Storyline:
When the Vesuvi Star explodes, it destroys the system. Your captain was in a shuttle on an away mission when the shockwave hit, so he's killed in the event. (Think Startrek Generations). You are then given a field commission of Captain, and from there, you are in control of the ships and Starfleet begins giving you your first orders, which are to ultimately discover who blew up the star. You didn't think it died own it's own now did ya? During this time, Captain Picard and Data will be assisting you with your mission. Additionally, you will need to ally yourselves with the Klingons, deal with the annoying Romulans, Battle Cardassians and even the Ferengi.
