Description:
This startdestroyer is from X-wing allaince, and is highly detailed and well textured. It has a recessed cargo bay on the bottom as well as lots of guns and other fine detail. It's armed to the teeth so bring alot of rebels.

Venator-class Star Destroyer V1.0

Model by General Trageton of the X-Wing Alliance Project. www.xwaupgrade.com
Converted to Bridge Commander and hardpointed by ThunderchiId
The Venator-class Star Destroyer was one of several wedge-ship designs to come out of the development think-tank led by engineer Lira Blissex. At over a kilometer in length, it was big and powerful enough to tangle with the Separatist fleets, but it was also quite fast. Its huge reactor-powered sublight engines afforded the Venator-class Star Destroyer respectable speed, enabling it to chase down blockade runners and smaller combat vessels.

While the Venator Star Destroyer offered much for its developers to take pride in, the relentless taskmaster Blissex was not content. She had bigger plans in mind. She used her past successes to green-light the ultimate warship of her dreams, the Imperator-class Star Destroyer. Shortly after the end of the Clone Wars, the first test-bed models of this mighty warship were already functioning in classified Imperial shipyards accessible only the New Orders elite.

Great Ship!!!!, well done......but to correct some errors, this is a Acclamater-class star destroyer,never heard of a venator, and it wasnt in the x-wing alliance game....

Revan. You really should watch Episode 3 as the Venator features heavily in that film. The Acclamator is from Episode 2 and is seen very briefly at the beginning of episode 3. Further information from http://www.starwars.com/databank/starship/republicattackcruiser/index.html

As for this being from X-Wing Alliance. Has it ever occured to you that there may be a patch or mod with it in??

Also someone could have just asked. I've had two models of this ship for months and it has alot less textures. This is a very good mod though, and I do like the ship a hell of alot.

And yes. The original model (In OPT Format) was a stand-alone mod for XWA.

Maybe if he could sneak his ship where the gun deck's couldn't reach he could do some damage, otherwise... forget it.

This ship should have plenty of vulnerabilities if you take what's seen in the movie into account. It's slow, and armed in an old fashion manner with only a few rotating turrets (The rest of its armament can be assumed to be within the ship's gun decks which have a limited cone of fire. I'd be willing to take a star trek ship against this thing. Just park behind the ion drives and shoot... and shoot... and shoot....

ive really wanted this ship to come out since eps 3, now all we need is the CIS attack ship and a Trade Federation ship and we will have a regular battle over Coruscant

I wish someone would make a super star destroyer and a normal star destroyer of this quality. The other ones either need more polys or better textures.

i wouldn't do that... if you'd actually READ the specifications on it you'll notice it has four Aft 'Turreted' Turbolasers... so good luck with taking it on!

the venator is supossed to be armed with:8 heavy turbolasers; 2 medium dual turbolasers; 52 laser cannons; 4 proton torpedo launchers; 6 tractor beam projectors

when i launch a quick battle with a venator the game stops working and gives the message no module named heavyCM. what should i do? any help is appreciated.
