This is a Standard Excelcior with a heavy weapons rollbar

But how many more of these kitbashes are we going to see?
I mean really, would the Federation build a huge fleet full of mutated excelsior classes?
And even so, I know I for one can't clutter up my QB menu with kitbash after kitbash of the same basic design.
I'm all for kitbashing if it looks good, Nebula class being a good one...
But I mean this is a bit overkill isn't it?
That's got to be at least 20 versions of the Excelsior class that have been posted up here in the past few weeks...
But then again, it's the author's choice and stuff, his free will, and I'm familiar with the don't like it don't download it argument, used it many a time myself, which is why I haven't downloaded any of these.
I just thought I'd make a point of how excessive these Excelsior kitbashes are becoming, wouldn't it make more sense to try other classes too?
This comment isn't intended to offend, and if it does, then my apologies...
However right above this box it does say 'Your comments for this File'...well, these are my comments, right?

A rollbar huh? I'll believe that when they thing get a chassis, a suspension, four wheels, and is ground-based. LOL

I think this is TMP variant #48 for Starforce. lol

I download them, just so I can have something different to blow up with ships that I actually like.

But you still have to admit, it's fun coming home from work, dropping down in front your pc, and flying one of these things sometimes.
I never use them in a fight. But it's fun to explore the different maps with. CJ made some great maps a while back, and these tmp-era ships are fun to fly with in them.

Posts: 176 		-This looks to be a keeper for my new fleet in developement and by the way it appears to me as if a whole fleet is being developed based on the excelsior class design. I'm not positive but just in case prep for TMP the 2nd era or TMP the Sulu Era ... .
Just a side note: I disliked the Excelsior class starship, until I downloaded the U.S.S. Pompeii. Since then I have revisited and downloaded a few other excelsior kitbash designs. My advice is to keep the ones you like and discard the rest.

Posts: 775 		are usaly twin ball turrets. If you've never seen a ball turret design, look at some old WW2 bombers, they will usualy have one under the plane. Essentialy the same principal. TNG phasers are, ofcourse, the rail types.

Posts: 5 		My kinda ship, I'm a fool (as in I fall for it easily) for the Heavy Weapons Rollbar (or what I call "The Weapon Rack"wink, I'd probably die if I see one on the Consitution Class or Sov.

And honestly, I don't mind about Kit-bashing, aslong as it is GOOD.
