Description:
Here is the USS Pioneer, an Insignia Class starship that was originally created by Mark Kingsnorth for mainly art work. This ship is very powerful, almost equal with the CG Sovereign, possibly slightly more powerful. This ship can easily take out smaller vessels such as the sabres, intrepids, centaurs and similar. This ship is also a lot flatter than most ships.

**** Installation Notes ****

Unzip the .gifs contained in this file to a folder named 'Insignia' within the /maps directory of your 3DStudio Max program folder. The main .max scene file can be unzipped
anywhere on your hard drive - a suggested place would be in your /scenes folder of 3DSMax.

**** About the Mesh ****

The Insignia mesh has gone through several renovations over the years, the first being a Truspace 1.0 file - this newest version is tentatively the last. All Textures, modeling, and scene makup were created by Mark Kingsnorth, based upon design elements seen in the ST:TNG Technical Manual as well as details loosely based upon the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E and the USS Voyager NCC-74656. Converted to Star Trek: Starfleet Command III by SBONCC74656.

**** About the Ship ****

The USS Pioneer was designed to serve as one of the first complete multi-purpose vessels in Starfleet's arsenal. The development of it's class was primarily a result of the Federation's reaction to the changing political climate of the 2360s/70s. With it's interchangeable segmented design, the Pioneer can be configured to serve in many differing capacities, within a relatively short period of time.
