Description:
Here is the USS Alastaro, an Excelsior kitbash that includes a Constitution secondary hull above the saucer section. This ship is about equal with a Jem Hadar fighter on firepower and similar ships. This ship is well made and detailed.

This excelcior oddity was converted from salvaged parts of a badly damaged Excelcior and leftover shipyard parts and now serves as a colonial response vessel, serving the needs of colonies for supplies, personal, medical and other needs after the dominion war,along the Romulan and Cardassian neutral zone where a newer ship or heavy class passing near would simply arouse suspicions or tensions. Immediately after the dominion war it participated in forced demolition of cardassian defense turrets in orbirt of cardassia and dominion asteroid outposts and facilites, a condition of the surrender.

Posts: 45 		Ive said it before and I'll say it again. All they need as a nice bit of post nemesis ships and I would download their ships everytime but they really like these excelsior type ships

I know. I love the Excelsior too.... and it's really nice to make a nice big fleet in the game, and see these kitbashes spotted around the fleet giving it variety.

But it's a bit extreme... dont you think? Post-Nem kitbashes aren't really pretty. I know. But galaxy-class variants are nice. You know Era variety.

Posts: 296 		Yeah, MJAY is right guys! You make pretty nice models, with good balance, etc., but I'm getting sick about the Excelsior kitbashes. Honestly how many EX kitbashed ships did you make? Fifty, maybe sixty? smile It would be really good to see more post-Nemesis or at least TNG-DS9-VOY era ships. But once again, I'm not complaining, your work are class A, keep up the good work. Oh, and pretty good ship. 8/10

Posts: 775 		and there are post nemisis ships like my take on the majestic. However there are not many post nemisis ships out there, but there are some being built. Like the McCoy class medical vessel and another atolm vessel that is a little farther ahead (like a nextg en akira by tus) and a few in the works on BCU. While I'm waiting I'm going to release what I got however. No sense sitting idle.

Posts: 137 		Normally i like Starforce's work more but by starforce standards this is rather.... low quality, were the stardrive is merged with the saucer it's painfully obvious all you did is disconnect and move the mesh into another part of the mesh, i know that's generally what people do with kitbashes but it's a glaring flaw on this as far as i'm concerned, the top view looks pretty good tho. But for the glaring mesh flaws i'd have to give it a 4/10. As a modeler myself i can't ignore a mesh flaw like that...

I do look forward to seeing more TNGish era stuff from starforce, as far as kitbashes are concerned though, with the whole 'smoothed out' look post-TNG ships got they make rather ugly kitbashes. IMO.
TNG, TMP, TOS and, Enterprise era ships are modular enough to look good as kitbashes generally though....

Posts: 775 		I do not make these. This version also did not have the gafy textures. It's an older bash too, which is why it's one of the last out. The only remaining true excelcior bash is the trident, a canon ds9 vessel. The rest are lakota variants which do not feature non-excel parts, or SFC styled "X-era" variants, which fill the gap between excel and ent-B and the TNG vessels such as ambassador onward.
