SFP Surpasser (V1.0) - File Description  


Description:
This is an interesting take on the Raging Queen/Curry design seen in DS9. The model has high res textures, and spec maps. It's ballanced well for the early ambassador era. It wont stand up to quantum torpedos but can take on Excelciors and other small vessels. It's small size makes it good for using manuvering tactics to take down larger, slower ships.

ALthough it has less phaserbanks, each has more power than the excelcior. She's got better shields, but less hull. She's also a few points faster and more manuverable, being half the size of an excelcior. HP'd for early ambassador era.

I like the design, the Excelsior Class is ome of my favorites so the Surpasser is easy for me to appreciate. SFP, you make awesome ships and they always work right, thank you so much. A solid 9/10. Posts: 695 		I love the design of this ship, very distinctive. With kick **** hardpoints! She can easily handle two TNG B'rels and a K'Tinga. This is one cool model you got here Farshot! I usually don't keep these concept ships in my install, but the Surpasser Class is a keeper.

Posts: 625 		I don't like the ship either...but i won't give the thing a 1 just because i don't like it....i do not rate or rate it according several factors:l;ike highres textures: that is according current standards just medium (even in BC) so stop calling it high res....let's say 7/10....

My only nitpick (which has no relevance to the quality) is that this is HP'ed to early Ambassador era, when the paint job has a few aesthetic elements of ships seen closer to the time of First Contact (eg Sovereign, Akira etc). Most notably the black area just behind the deflector dish in contrast to the usual federation blue-greys screams "Sovereign-esque" to me. I'm probably just too pedantic hehe.

Certainly not anything worth downgrading a rating for, just food for thought. I'd say around 8/10.
