Description:
This mod is a trap, it is a reworking of an Astroid's HardPoint and thus creates a method to trap vessels using tractor beams.
The "trap" is equipped with phasers.

[with this new Hardpoint phaser fire is increased, tractor beam power increased, in short a better trap, but It can be defeated]

If this is in an asteroid field. and you don't know where the fire is coming from , you MUST depend on your sensors.
Used en-mass these can be tricky for lesser ships
Note: Basically this was designed to be used with QBR23 but works well in regular QB

Tactical Report:

Captain Dickerson, Uss Defender (Defender-Class)

We have entered a region of space that is littered with astroids, we have proceeded to move through at quarter impulse. As we passed near an astroid sensors picked up an energy spike and we were caught in a tractor field.
the field held us and we were fired upon by low-yield wepons. From the tactical data i have reviewed it would seem the "traps" weapons are a third as powerful as our own phasers. The tractor field however is far more powerful and according to engineering is 96% stronger than our own.
As we were dragged to a halt I ordered more power to the engines and were able to pull away, following up with a few torpedoes we destroyed the trap.
Sensors however have picked up other energy spikes and it is my conclusion that the entire astroid field is "mined" with these traps.

Our head of science has investigated the fragments left over from the initial encounter and she has discovered some data storage devices. At present the only information we have gleened is that these "traps" were created by a race called the "QuanTar" from the age of the fragments these traps have been here for centuries, back when this was a well used trade route.

I'm not sure why but i remembered meeting the fake "President Lincoln" today, back when i was a lieutenant and head of security aboard the NCC 1701. Why do I get "traps" while Kirk got historic meetings.....

Installation:

Copy the scripts and data folders into the root of your bridge commander folder.

Hint:
Keep an eye on your distance and your sensors.
Many of you might say "the tractors are to weak, or they activate to close to the QuanTar"

Well, consider this if they activated at a much greater distance, they wouldn't be a very effective trap
(not much of a threat for Federation ships of the line, but Very bad for merchant ships)
