Description:

Here is the Leyte Gulf Cruiser, a detailed and well made ship that appears to be kit bashed from P81's Galaxy and Nebula Class Starships. The Leyte Gulf has been created by Outalance & Starforce Productions (it couldn't fit in the developer bit).

This ship has numerous phasers and torpedoes that make it a match for many cruisers of the TNG Era. Its shields can take a pounding against many vessels, however will eventually fail against such ships as the Galaxy Refit, maybe the Akira or Defiant (if not two). This design of starship could be used as a combat or scientific vessel this is due to upper pod that can be refit for any different hardware (role play only for now).

	Readme File: ====Outalance & Starforce Productions presents Leyte Gulf==== Credits: Model and textures: p81 Kitbashing: ModelsPlease Based on the physical model by : George Wofford Hardpoints: Starforce2 Torpedo: Dkealt (uses the same 785 damage script from the SFPwolf359 mods, so safe to overwrite.) Ship length: 680m This ship includes an unhardpointed saucer and drive model which will be adressed later as a hardpoint addon. A possible texture upgrade might be made available as well. Vessel history: ------------ The Leyte Gulf class cruiser was constructed with common components to both the Galaxy and Nebula class cruisers. This was seen as logical due to the interchangeability of components between the ship classes, and also so that personnel trained to operate one class of ship could easily adapt to the others. When the Leyte Gulf was being designed, there was discord among the top brass at Starfleet as to whether it should primarly be a scientific vessel or a combat vessel. This discord existed as a result of the Borg incursion, and strained relations with the Cardassian Empire. The design of the Leyte Gulf was one that pleased both sides - the upper pod could be used to house any combination of sensors of weapons, and hardware in the pod could be swapped out at any starbase. It also employs separable saucer and drive sections, which not only keep non-combatants safe in times of trouble but also increase the offensive capabilites of the drive section. It was also fitted with high dissipation shileds to increase its defensive capabilities. ------------

what does only role play 4 now mean sorry im a bit thick Puke!

but the ship it self look very nice i dont like most of the galaxy kit bashes but this looks most impressive 9/10

to me it looks like a redundant set of Deflectors....im hoping this is a extra sheilding varient cuz i can't figure this one out.....

decent quality but.... why? If it had a akira pod or a nebula weapons pod on top it would be cool but a 2nd deflector?

looks like someone scaled down a nebula deflector and fliped it upside down....

with the dule deflecter i would think this would been a good upgrade for enterprise, i mean they use the deflecter alot

I added a defelector pulse weapon on the 2nd dish (sorry if that breaks any rules) i think it is a sweet model, but it needed to be 'special'. Sorry again if i did something bad...

Little disappointing to be honest. First off, I would've gone with the SNS Galaxy. Secondly, I would've used a weapons pod, instead of a second secondary hull. And the fact that the hull says "USS Odyessey" and not "USS Leyte Gulf" is also disappointing.
