FSB Shipyards proudly presents Vendetta class starship. Vendetta class continues the line of small yet powerful and agile escort crafts Defiant class began. While USS Vendetta is perfect for escort/destroyer role, USS Mjolnir is a typical fire support ship thanks to it's Advanced Pulse Phasers and revised shuttlebay inventory. Mjolnir carries 4 Peregrine class fighters and 2 Type 9's. Both ships are similiar in appearance, only few details like deflector dish and thrusters are different, true changes were done to weapons loadouts andhull/shileds strenght.
Vendetta is the second ship created by FSB Shipyards.

Description :
FSB Shipyards proudly presents Vendetta class starship. Vendetta class continues the line of small yet powerful and agile escort crafts Defiant class began. Installation instructions:
1. For best safe precaution always make buckup folder of SCRIPTS folder in your Bridge Commander (this is to avoid any problems with mod, so you can always restore your previous scripts)
2. Copy and paste all folders to the Bridge Commander root directory.
3. Run the game, ships will appear in Federation Ships menu -> Vendetta class -> USS Vendetta; USS Mjolnir

It needs re-balancing though, the shields are almost useless - single torpedo hits will disable or outright destroy half your weapons and occasionally a single torpedo hit causes the warp core to explode (despite 100% shields and hull). |

Atyk Joined: September 20th, 2006 Posts: 89 | if it helps I had the instant warp core breach happen piloting the mjolnir against the vendetta themselves (I scored the instant kill). One torpedo from the ambassador class ripped my hull apart and destroyed my weapons (was a point blank shot but I had full shields and weapons), and numerous ships would damage my hull/disable my weapons while my shields were still up (intrepid, nova, DJ Athena ect).
Also the pulse weapons give way way to much lead on targets of the same size (itself, defiant, DJ valiant, ect). But numerous other ships have this problem too so I'm guessing it's just a limitation of the way weapons work in the game.
She's a very interesting ship, I like it a lot. The torpedo's on these two (particularly the mjolnir) obliterate the hulls of many ships. A full salvo nearly collapsed the shields of my CR Borg sphere and did hull damage (I was sitting still just to see how hard they'd hit). |
