Description:
Here is a interesting new concept ship, The DJOrion!

This ship is a new twist on the Galaxy Class design leniage. The model is well made, and the textures are excellent. The phaser bank placement on the DJOrion has an inherant weakness, in phaser arc coverage. Leaving the port & starboard open to a directed bombardment. The ship handles well in quickbattle, Fast intercept speed and highly manuverable at impulse.

I would guage the ship's defensive capabilities in the post-nemesis era.The shield are upraited to take on punishing blows from Klingon and Romulan disruptor fire. Overall, the concept design is slightly smaller, akin too a heavy cruiser.

Definitely Worth having a look at...

Orion Class
Launched: 2361

A mid-sized cruiser developed during the 2350's. Production of the class ran from 2359 until being discontinued in 2368
in favour of the Intrepid Class. Armed with 7 Mark X phaser arrays; for and aft photon torpedo launcher capable of launching
5 torpedoes simultaneously; and a high capacity shield grid; the Orion Class packs much of the punch of its larger Galaxy Class
cousin. Initially planned as a replacement for Starfleet's aging armada of Excelsiors, the Orion Class had its production run
scaled back dramatically when much of Starfleet's resources were reallocated to developing starships capable of fighting the Borg.
