Description:
This is a mid TNG refit of the ever faithful constitution class. Armed with standard TNG phaser arrays, newer photon torpedoes, and a compliment of quantum torpedoes.
This kind of came about as a personal model, however after everyone at BCC expressed their interest in the vessel, I decided to release it. this has been said a perfect bridge between the long faithful constitution refit, and the new sobieski class.
Among all the vessels in star trek, the constitution is one of the most beautiful, graceful, and awe inspiring vessel of all the ships, therefore I saw fit to upgrade the vessel to the best of my ability.
This is as close to a cannon ship that I will ever make.
I have included blank registries for you, in case you wish to make custom ships, and as well, a bridge to compliment the ship may follow suit soon
This will show up in your fed ships menu as U.S.S. Foxhound

CyAn1d3s Gen2 Constitution Refit

History of U.S.S. Foxhound
Originally the USS Falcon, NCC-985 which served on the neutral zone and saw many heavy engagements against the klingons until the Khitomer Accord where the vessel was shortly retired, most ship systems were stripped and the ship was sent to the graveyard just outside the meteor belt, until the beginning of the dominion war, where most constitution vessels were refit yet again to head into battle, among those was the Falcon, which had her name changed to Foxhound. The vessels were given anything and everything of an upgrade.
During the 22 month refit, the class had most of the older ship systems replaced, the ships were given a total overhaul and received a new warp core, that rivals the output of an intrepid class, newer targeting arrays, upgraded sensor pallets, an up to date deflector array, the implementation of the strip style phaser arrays, and an aft torpedo launcher, which most engineers had felt that the class had suffered without thorough the reign as the flagship of the federation.
Notes of many constitution class engineers were heavily examined to see what improvements the vessel would need, and actions were taken based on those notes. Given the small size of the ships they were able to receive the upgrades fairly quicker then that of a larger class.
She was launched from Macdill Shipyards, with 5 others like her, and a total of 17 from other yards, the enterprise never saw the refit, as many argued for the history of the ship and the loss in combat. In service the ships served as escorts, defense augments, and in some cases recon. The ships low power drain enables the vessel to run at such a low output that she merely shows as a ghost on enemy sensors, allowing deep space missions. The class very rarely took on this task, as they were proven useful in combat. The ship is faster and maneuverable thanks to updates to the engines, because the ship itself is much lighter than the fleet standard, up to date thrusters and engines were on par with that of a sovereign class, can move the ship very quickly.
In combat the Foxhound is deadly against small craft, able to keep up with dominion bugships, deliver a well targeted payload, and pull away. These tactics proved well against larger ships as well, in the hands of an experienced pilot the ship can literally run circles around larger craft.
