Additions from the last version:
Addtional pair of pulse cannons, with incrased power. Phaserbank power increased. Shield recharge increased and FWD shield increased. Lacks aft phasers near the impulse like the V1. Hull hitpoints also incrased. This is afterall, a defiant based ship. Low res textures on this ship would be a discrace so go spend 25 bucks on a card that supports them you cheap b*****ds.

I like this, doesn't seem so much a Nebula-like ship, more like a future Miranda class. Only the oversized Bussard's detract from it...they don't quite match the sleek look of the rest of the ship. But that's a small complaint. Overall, nicely done. 9/10Two Thumbs Up!

But that red part on the nacells is waaaaaaaaaaay to bright, it hurts my eyes so I try to always look at it from the top.

Ive had the first version of this ship for some time now, and im going to stick with it, i cant stand the warp nacelles on this ship, they are plain ugly, if they were redone i might have a change of heart about her., something closer to the v1 chimera would be better.

Erm, just a clarification (and because I've only just noticed this), the mesh for this model was done by me. Smiley did the textures. I would appreciate this being sort out.

while they're both nice design updates from the miranda class i just prefer the original chimera nacelles and roll bar over this one's stubby rectangles.

which i can't find here abouts any more... frown

an updated version of the old Chimera is in our ftp. We don't know where the original went nor how it was deleted from BCfiles
