Here is a interesting new ship, the Atraiu Class!

This is one of the most unusual design variants I've seen in awhile. In my humble opinion, the ship looks like a cross between the JJ Variant and the Classic TOS designs. Taking elements from both. Excellent level of detail on the model. I tested this ship in Quickbattle with some JJ Variants with a fleet of several Klingon D-7 Battlecruisers. The Atraiu Class handled well in game. She definitely took her hit's with the best of them.

If your looking to augment either your fascination with the JJ Variants? Or add another quality TOS era ship? The Atraiu Class will make an excellent addition to your fleet.

Username = Dalek Biography: The U.S.S. Atraiu was designed as a ship to repel large space-borne invaders such as the Doomsday machine encountered by the USS Enterprise in 2267. She was nicknamed "The Doomsday Destroyer".The Atraiu is outfitted with phasers, experimental pulse phasers and an enhanced version of the photon torpedo. Even if these weapons are useless against a neutronium hull, they will rip most other TOS era ships to shreds. Despite being powerful, the Atraiu cannot defeat or will have a tough time destroying an Excelsior class vessel. In BC: This is a most impressive ship, combining elements from ENT, TOS and JJ to create the Atraiu and it gave me great joy to do the majority of the hardpointing for this. The textures are all one map, making this a very small download and the model is not a major graphics hog either. Because she's a big lass, she iss a bit sluggish on the turning, so if you're in a nippy little ship, get round its aft where its got very little weaponry. Despite her being only slightly bigger than a TOS Connie, she's a lot bulkier and nowhere near as skinny, giving her weight so have fun when you try turning her. :P Bugs: None. Installation Instructions: 1. Extract files (data, scripts, sfx and readme.txt) to a temporary folder. 2. Copy over the 3 folders into your BC Directory e.g. "H:Program FilesActivisionBridge Commander". 3. Play BC and have fun! Copyright and Distribution Stuff: Star Trek, Bridge Commander, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager (and the various logo devices used in them) are copyright Paramount Pictures, as are the characters, related images, and sound from the productions.
